The manufacturer chose to use a slightly heavier guage wire and connector which is much appreciated. Everyone who owns a power supply like this knows to be careful when 'wrapping' up the wire for transport in your gig bag, or whatever carrying device you have. Over time and usage the concern is that the wire will degrade or the connector will lose it's ability to make good contact. This product appears to have been constructed using better quality materials so as to, hopefully, give it a longer life span.

I use this for my Digitech Rp-150. But this babe can be used with anyone. Just remember to unplug it when your done, or it can burn out (like my last one did R.I.P little guy). The shipping from these people were excellent, it came in like 3business days. I might get another one as a spare.

I have had my RP250 for a couple of years. I had no problems with the power supply until this week. The cord became loose where the cord goes into the power supply adapter box(that plugs into the wall). I went to power up my RP250 and it flashed liked it was coming on, but ultimately had no power. I jiggled the cord (lightly) and found it to be coming loose at the box. I have been careful with the RP250 and with the power supply. I guess I could have accidentally pulled on the cord too hard but I don't think so. So now I'm out the extra money for a new power supply and it seems to be a bit expensive, especially considering how much I paid for the RP250 just a couple of years ago. But, I don't have much choice. It needs power to work, and this will do that. Digitech should consider providing a more robust (better built) power supply.

The good: This product works well, though something that's easier to open and fix (in a pinch, such as during a gig) might be nice. Alternatively (and preferably), Digitech could add a battery compartment battery to the RP300. That'd be very useful. The not so good (but not bad): I find the cable length a little short for some live set-ups, requiring more extension cables and power strips that need to be lugged around. 2 more feet would be great. The first one lasted about 2 years until the cable at the transformer box broke internally. Overall though, no serious complaints.

I bought the RP200 used and it didn't come with a power charger, so I bought this one and it works fine.
